SCPL Reader’s Corner: Short Announcements

Hey everyone!

Welcome to another short installment of SCPL Reader’s Corner.  We hope you are enjoying all of our Non-Fiction November posts and those will resume on Friday, November 20.  We’re having a great time sharing these book lists of reading ideas for you.  There will not be a blog post this Wednesday, November 18 for a short break.   It’s hard to believe that November is already half over.  Things are still crazy in our world with COVID and we’re working really hard to try to provide you with the services and entertainment you need.

2020 Fall Reading Bingo

Our 2020 Fall Reading Bingo is going strong.  If you are participating, don’t forget to stop by any of our three locations to get your card signed off by any of our friendly librarians and to get your tickets to enter in our fabulous prize drawings.  If you aren’t participating yet, it’s not too late to sign up.  The cards are super easy to follow, so stop on in and we’ll be glad to get you signed up.

Prizes will be announced soon.  I know what some of them are, but I am sworn to secrecy for another week or so before we announce them.

Those of you that are following on the adult card, the take-home craft kits will be available soon.  Watch our Facebook page for an announcement when these will be available.

COVID-19  & Curbside Service

As you are well aware, Covid-19 is on the rise in our surrounding areas and all across Indiana.  Please follow all safety measures when coming to the library.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED and must be worn over your nose while in the library.

Don’t forget that library does offer curbside service if you prefer not to come into the building.  Place materials on hold via phone at 812-752-2751, select your preferred location and we’ll be happy to assist you.

We will resume sharing our links in a couple of weeks during the next Reader’s Corner post.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner.  It doesn’t seem possible.  Take care and enjoy your week.  Happy Reading and stay healthy Scott County!!

I just finished reading Nightingale. It was a great book about sisters during the war. Makes me realize how lucky we are here in America
