The first Magic School Bus book was published in 1986 and would later will be followed by a PBS television series of the same name.  The character of Miss Frizzle was played by Lily Tomlin and the show lasted in the first iteration for 18 years.  It was later followed by another adaptation on Netflix in 2017.
